Hi,
i tried installing xen today, but it apparently conflicts with gnome.
The gnome-shell depends on gnome-bluetooth(?!) and gnome-bluetooth requires bluez4 (the legacy version).
Xen requires bluez, which conflicts with bluez4. (Why does xen require bluetooth at all?)
Do you have any idea how i could get xen running with gnome installed?

Which xen package exactly did you install?

In the comments on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xen/ I found a link to a modified (updated) PKGBUILD: http://www.kantras.info/xen/xen-4.3.0-4.tgz It lists bluez4 as the dependency.
See if it helps.

FYI - the aur package has now been updated with the updated version I've been working on.

I wasn't sure you'd want to maintain it because you were not maintaining any packages in the AUR.
Thanks for taking the maintainership :-)
