[Solved] Multilib Repository Won't Enable

I have an odd problem where when I try to enable the Multilib or Multilib-testing in pacman.conf and then save it, and issue sudo pacman -Syy it doesn't show that it's pulling down the repository file since it only shows core, extra and community.

Read the manual.
Read the comments in pacman.conf.
Post your pacman.conf here. How do you expect anyone to help you if you provide no details at all?

Re: [Solved] Multilib Repository Won't Enable

Multilib is only for the 64-bit systems, but you should get download errors if you tried to enable it on a 32-bit one.

Sorry about the lack of detail. I am running a 64 boy system, I'm not on my PC but my Pacman.conf is the standard on with just multilib uncommented.

Maybe you uncommented it the wrong way. Compare how e.g. [core] is uncommented. If you uncomment [testing], does it work?

For the record, you have to uncomment both lines, not just "multilib".

I'm an idiot... neutral

After reading your guys comments about uncommenting the repositories I was thinking "of course I did! I remember doing it! I'm not a stupid noob!" and I just went to post my pacman.conf to show it to you guys....and I realized that the header lines were commented out but the repository locations were uncommented!

Jellicent told you what you have to do.
See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Multilib

Did you even try to do as I suggested and figure it out yourself https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p1342009 ?
