netctl-auto@interface.service failing to connect when enabled [solved]

Hello,
I was going to post this problem on the fourm, but have now figured out what I was doing wrong and thought I would post my solution. Sorry if this is the wrong spot.
When the service was enabled it would not work, when it was disabled it would work.

here is the output of the services error

 systemctl status netctl-auto@interface.service
netctl-auto@wlan0.service - Automatic wireless network connection using netctl profiles
   Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/netctl-auto@.service; enabled)
   Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2013-11-12 10:37:06 CST; 1min 43s ago
     Docs: man:netctl.special(7)
  Process: 199 ExecStart=/usr/bin/netctl-auto start %I (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

the solution disable any profiles enabled by netctl

 netctl disable "profiles name"

After doing that restart the service and it should work.

I love computers, networking and Arch Linux. Sometimes I might ask a stupid question, but please have grace with me like I would with you.
