Intel iwlwifi 5300 instability (now no connection at all!)

It's a known issue. I couldn't find any fix that worked.
My connection is constantly dropping at home (WPA2, ADSL router), although everywhere else is stable.

I tried loading the module with 11n_disable=1, swcrypt=0, bt_coex_active=0, in different combinations and nothing works.
Dmesg doesn't show any error message. Is there another log file?

Is anyone aware of an open bug report, or to which developer should I email/report this?

It went from instability to not having wireless at all... only after a long time of no power supply can I have wireless again (I'm talking about hours).
Happens in all kernel versions from 3.0 (LTS) to 3.9.4

It's getting worse..  I'm writing this from my phone.. now the connection only status alive for a couple of minutes and then it just dies and never comes back again. The led is off. Dmesg now says failed to start rt ucode: -132... I find it strange that I'm the only one with this problem

EDIT:
I was seeing a lot of ON/OFF Hard activy on rfkill events so I tried disabling the hardware wifi switch and things are working so far... I hope that was it.

You're not the only one. I have the same problem and stick with linux-3.8.11-1 for now. I actually consider using the lts kernel instead. I couldn't find a solution to this problem so I just downgraded, seemed to be the easiest way out of this, although not the best obviously.

same problem here.

A workaround that works for me (running crunchbang waldorf/testing) is to power off and remove power cable and battery for a short while. This removes the problem, while switching the wifi chip off and on seems to cause it.
Other than having to take out the battery and wait for a while every time I reboot and not being able to otherwise switch off the wifi chip, everything works as usual. Suspending causes no problems either, for some reason.

For me the problem disappeared 2 months ago. No idea what kernel version specifically. At the moment I'm running 3.12.0
