Lots of errors on boot

lots of these messages on boot

[  +0.001016] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Asking for cache data failed
[  +0.000053] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through

on boot.

Is this a well known error?  I'm running Arch in wm-ware

I get these too if I have my external drive attached when I boot my computer. These aren't errors AFAICT, it's just an informational message.

But i get them on all the sdb sdc sdd sde etc etc......  Seems really strange

How are these drives connected: SATA, USB ...?

Pardon my ignorance but I see a bunch of 512B drives and this doesn't seem right.

Karol: This is a virtual machine, wm-ware.  So there is no "connection".  Anyway, I believe this to be wm-ware specific.  Anyway, thanks for trying to help me.

Problem solved.  Reinstalled the Virtual harddisk in a new virtual machine.
