Hi all,
I've been having intermittent wireless problems with my laptop's internet under Arch. Everything works fine with Windows 8, and I experienced problems when using a friend's router (though my router and theirs were BT, don't know if it could be a brand issue).
Here's an example of the failure:
[joshua:~ o]$ wget www.google.co.uk (17-12 11:59)
--2013-12-17 11:59:46-- http://www.google.co.uk/
Resolving www.google.co.uk (www.google.co.uk])... failed: Name or service not known.
wget: unable to resolve host address ‘www.google.co.uk’
[joshua:~ x]$ wget www.google.co.uk (17-12 11:59)
--2013-12-17 11:59:51-- http://www.google.co.uk/
Resolving www.google.co.uk (www.google.co.uk)... 173.194.41.88, 173.194.41.87, 173.194.41.95

Note that I ran the same command about 5 seconds apart and one time it resolves and one time it doesn't. The failures are fairly common (I have ~30 RSS feeds in thunderbird, if I hit "refresh" then I will always get an error from one or two of them due to being unable to resolve the feed address).
My wireless card is
02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 2230 (rev c4)
and I use the iwlwifi driver.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
