Nice colors! Here are a few advices (from my POV, so you don't have to agree)
Why do you use tint2 ? When using mostly terminals, you end up with
"jim@amborella:~" everywhere, so i'm not sure it's very helpfull. If you use it
for system info, I'd suggest something simpler and lighter: https://github.com/LemonBoy/bar
In your tmux status bar, you use "bright black" as a background, which
render the bar in a different color that the terminal. Maybe you could try using
"dim default" here, so that it will be less "intrusive"
Your mpd notification is great, but the font is neither the one used in your
terminal, nor the one in your status bar. Maybe you could try to choose an
overall font, so that you're theme will look more unified ?

Thanks for the suggestions!
Tint2 I'm using mainly 'cause it was the default on #! and I just migrated my settings across. I don't really find it to be a problem, though.
I'm not actually running tmux, that's just urxvt's tab extension. I don't know if it's possible to transparencify that, though I would if I could.
Good suggestion! I switched the font on my conky to be the same as the one in Tint2. I tried to change my terminal font to the corresponding monospace font but it looked very ugly, so I gave up. Here's how the desktop looks now, though. Sometimes I forget that sans-serif fonts can look nice, too. http://i.imgur.com/iV6ZMpZ.png

You may want to replace those with thumbnails. Check out the forum rules, or read the first post of this (and every other) screenshot thread.

What terminal font is that?

Wallpaper is a bit dark so the default blue is hardly visible on my screen. I went for minimalist HUD and see through terminals. No bars, no icons, no bull$#it Terminal all the way.
Right bottom window has a "battery charging" ASCII there. White brackets mean the battery is charging, brackets red, green or yellow means battery is discharging. If battery is taken out, no icon.
I might make the \u, \H, \$ and other stuff a bit smaller, since it can take up half a line.

Beautiful! What are the bars at the bottom? I like the startpage.. think I will have to git clone this and experiment.
Anyway, here is my less than fashionable screenshot doing a whole lot of nothing.

Heya. The bars at bottom are tint2 and dzen2 printing conky-cli output. About the startpage, I love how it looks however the html code is a mess...

Great setup! Do you have a link to this 'grun' theme?
Your browser looks very classy as well.
(Although I don't see myself having OverlyHugeDongs.com on my startpage, but eh.)

I did! But the GTK2 theme wasn't in it.

My new Arch setup (BSPWM, bar, conky), first try. I'm pretty happy with it. I have to say so far this has been one of the more enriching computing experiences I have had yet.
