I successfully followed the directions here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WPA_supplicant
I got the wpa_supplicant.conf file made. When I entered:
$ sudo wpa_supplicant -B -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/my_wpa_config.conf
it replies:
Successfully initialized wpa_supplicant
I had to add the drivers to get it to successfully complete. The drivers I added were: zd1211rw 1-1.2.1.1:1.0: firmware version 4605 (It's showing twice when I enter: dmesg | grep firmware)
Here's the issue: When I type iwconfig it shows no association. It did before breifly and now I can't get it to connect anymore. Power supplies are good. Even when I could get it to connect, I could never get past the "sudo dhcpcd wlan0" step. It had some kernel autoconf error.
I'm at my wit's end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can't tell you what your problem is because I don't know your network or hardware config, but you can at least save yourself some trouble by putting wpa_supplicant.conf in /etc , since that's the default location it'll read it from, so you can just run "dhcpcd wlan0" to test it instead of having to invoke the file manually all the time.

ArchBeeKeeper, we do not support ARM here. They have their own boards. You are likely to get answers there.
