[Solved] ZFS problem

Hi guys,

I've been using ZFS on my arch server for quite a while now without any problems. Today I installed arch on my new ssd an imported the pool and everything is showing up - so far so good. My problem is now that after a reboot no files in the pool are shown at it's mountpoint. zpool status is returning that all drives are online:

   pool: pool
 state: ONLINE
  scan: resilvered 1.08M in 0h0m with 0 errors on Wed Jan 1 21:18:57 2014
config:

        NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
        pool ONLINE 0 0 0
          raidz2-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
            sda1 ONLINE 0 0 0
            sdb1 ONLINE 0 0 0
            sdc1 ONLINE 0 0 0
            sdf1 ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

When I export the pool and import it again, everything is fine again. Does anybody know what that's all about?  I was a little scared at first ...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
hannson

Re: [Solved] ZFS problem

Thanks fukawi2, I get following output:

sudo zfs get mountpoint
NAME PROPERTY VALUE SOURCE
pool mountpoint /media/pool local
pool@16012014 mountpoint - -

Seems to me to be alright?!

Re: [Solved] ZFS problem

And it doesn't mount to /media/pool is what you're saying?

Re: [Solved] ZFS problem

No it does mount to /media/pool but isn't showing any files after a reboot unless I do a export and import it again. Somehow weird...

Actually you should say why it wasn't working, later it might help someone making the same mistake as you.

Re: [Solved] ZFS problem

I just had to

systemctl enable zfs

I must have forgotten to enable it after installation... O.o

Re: [Solved] ZFS problem

Thank you for owning up to your mistake. I've been contemplating using ZFS on one of my workstations, so I've been tracking ZFS-related topics. Seeing that a significant looking issue had a simple, if silly, solution helps in my decision process.
