where are watts in powertop?

I think I'm too stupid for this... even with the search function, I can't find where to look for Watts. In what tab of powertop, the W is displayed?
Cheers,

Re: where are watts in powertop?

Thanks! I'll try to let powertop run for a while. Powerstat would be nice, but the installation from yaourt is not working at this moment. I'll check that and eventually issue a bug report or forum threat.

Re: where are watts in powertop?

I've installed powerstat-git w/o a problem.

$ sudo powerstat -d 0
Machine is not discharging, cannot measure power usage.

I don't have any notebook, so I can't check if it works.

Split from https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=93362. That thread is old and is about an older version of powertop. In the future please do not necro-bump. Thanks.

Re: where are watts in powertop?

As karol has already pointed out above, your machine needs to be unplugged for powertop to report W usage.  So if you have a desktop, this information is not available.
