I think I'm too stupid for this... even with the search function, I can't find where to look for Watts. In what tab of powertop, the W is displayed?

Thanks! I'll try to let powertop run for a while. Powerstat would be nice, but the installation from yaourt is not working at this moment. I'll check that and eventually issue a bug report or forum threat.

I've installed powerstat-git w/o a problem.
$ sudo powerstat -d 0
Machine is not discharging, cannot measure power usage.I don't have any notebook, so I can't check if it works.

As karol has already pointed out above, your machine needs to be unplugged for powertop to report W usage. So if you have a desktop, this information is not available.
