Backup strategy

TL;DR: A backup program that works with different distros (e.g. Ubuntu-based and Arch), multiple OSes (Win, OSX, Linux), easy to use, that allows incremental and delta backups?

Re: Backup strategy

If you don't have Arch installed and this is not a question of installing Arch, why are you asking the Arch forums how to backup Linux Mint and Ubuntu?  Wouldn't it be better to ask the appropriate forums as they are more experienced with their distro and the tools available?  I don't mean to sound rude or unwelcoming, just trying to set you in a place that will generate better answers for you.

A link to the Arch Wiki on backups -> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Backup
However, as I mentioned before, some of these are found in the AUR which is directly not accessible in ubuntu/mint but you can manually compile or find a replacement for ubuntu/mint.

Re: Backup strategy

I'll leave this, since backups aren't too specific to distribution... However I don't think many answers will come. There are many thousands of pages on the internet already about how to backup and the options. No-one here can tell you what backup strategy will work best for you. You need to read, educate yourself, and make your own informed decision. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask, but a generalized "tell me how to backup" isn't likely to solicit much useful information for you.
