PPTP VPN problems: Unsupported protocol 'MPLSCP' (0x8281) received

I can connect to my company's PPTP VPN server (It's a MikroTik one) if I use Windows, but when I try it on Arch, I get this error:

Unsupported protocol 'MPLSCP' (0x8281) received
LCP terminated by peer (Encryption negotiation rejected^@)

Their wiki describes a Linux OpenVPN client configuration here. You only need to figure out if you are communicating with a routed or bridged VPN server.

I am having the exact same problem on Debian 7.6 and couldn't find a solution. Did you finally figure out the problem?
