Hello,
I have a desktop PC, which is set as server for the family. The server is set mainly for DLNA, some file sharing and ad-blocking (next page caching).
Lately I added an AP, connected by Ethernet cable. I set forwarding to allow whom will connect to the AP to go to Internet. The desktop PC is connected to Internet via USB-WiFi dongle.
So my setting are:
desktop 192.168.1.2 >> ISP router 192.168.1.1
AP 192.168.2.1 >> desktop 192.168.2.2
Incoming connections 192.168.2.3/24 to AP
incoming connections have also the option to go directly to ISP router, but the router gives a lot of timeouts.
When I use the gnome-applet to connect NM to ISP router, I get the right routing. default gw 192.168.1.1 wlan0
If I connect the Ethernet, I'll get default gw 192.168.2.2 eth0, which goes nowhere. For that case I do manually add
# route add default 192.168.1.1 wlan0So I'll get things going again to let all connect to internet.
My question is about to know the setting for NM (or by the gnome-applet) to do me the correct routing, without manual intervention.
EDIT
I finally found the right answer
