issues with hp envy 15

Hi,

FIrstly my configuration:
HP Envy 15t with following configuration:
15.6 inch i7-4700mq
8gb ram , 24gb mssd
beats audio
802.11 wlan ac. Broadcom bcm4352
Nvidia GT740M

Issue #1: I recently installed arch linux and installed xf86-video-intel  and gnome 3.10.2  but everytime I login to gnome the icons all get rendered weirdly ( the icons [network manager, volume icon, battery indicator] all overlap and appear to be towards the right corner.
The only way i got about this is everytime i login i restart gdm and then it works fine. But I would like to know why i am seeing this behavior ?

Issue#2:Also Network manager keeps showing the connecting icon but never the connected icon despite being connected to wifi (on that note doesn't automatically connect too)

Issue#3:
I am not able to get Beats audio to work and am lost a s to how to get it to work.

Regarding issue #1, there seem to be a few posts on this issue in the last few days. Check here and the links therein to see if the problem is the same: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=179675
Apparently, it should be fixed in gnome 3.12

EDIT: Until it gets fixed, you might fix it by downgrading. Have you tried to do so?
