Xfce4-power-manager freezing

Hi everyone

After forum searching I didn't find a solution. Just got a new not genuine Lenovo baterry for my X200 notebook. On old battery everything was and still is fine. When new one is plugged in xfce4-power-manager doesn't update battery  status when charging or discharging. Only one solution to get a battery current level is kill power manager and start it again. Nevertheless xfce4-power-manager can show only one battery status when starts working. Is this any solution for this?

Re: Xfce4-power-manager freezing

look like ae now upstreamed, so you can try apply the patchs and build all
or try fill a bug in arch bugtracker pointing to tis and upstream bug and hope packager accept it and patch

Well, I suppose that this is somekind of signature, no?

Re: Xfce4-power-manager freezing

If you take a look at the upstream bug, it is caused by upower 0.99.

Re: Xfce4-power-manager freezing

Same problem here. It's a shame there is no coordination between maintainers of Gnome, Xfce, Mate, Cinnamon, etc.

Re: Xfce4-power-manager freezing

I've already tried to make a downgrade to the old version of upower, but when I reboot I found the system without the battery icon in the tray (panel)

Re: Xfce4-power-manager freezing

xfce4-power-manager-git from AUR is working fine, so I'm using that until the official package gets patched.

The git-version works here. Did you restart it?

After installation, you must use gtk-update-icon-cache. good luck wink

ps: git version responds slowly to replaced the power supply (battery-network)... but it works.
