Hello!
I have a strange problem since ditching Xfce with Xmonad as the WM and going to pure XMonad.
I use NetworkManager for connection management and have to connect to 802.1X (TTLS, MS-CHAPv2) protected networks (wired and wireless) at work. Whenever I want to do this I have to open NM's connection editor and add the connection again with all the details - the connection works fine the first time, but when I try again NM seems to have forgotten the credentials I explicitly saved and it doesn't let me edit the connection again (everything is greyed out).
This only happens on connections where I enable 802.1x, all other connections (e.g. WLANs with standard WPA PSKs) work fine and can still be edited afterwards.
Has somebody seen this before and has an idea what could be wrong? I tried strace'ing nm-connection-editor to see if it opens any files that could have permission problems, but without success.
Update: It gets weirder - when I open the "edit" dialogue and wait a few minutes the fields suddenly become active, it seems like some kind of timeout happens. Connections still don't work after the first try without me re-entering the password.
