DHCPCD loses ipv6 address when lease expires

I installed two seperate installs of Archlinux which use the default dhcpcd configuration.

My network is dualstacked ipv4 and ipv6, both installs of Archlinux get successful ipv4 and ipv6 addresses. I have stateful IPv6 DHCP configured and no other Linux/GNU (Debian) or Windows machines of mine or showing the same issue.

However when the ipv6 lease expires and it renews it loses the ipv6 address completely, prompting me to restart the dhcpcd process. This occurs usually 5 days later.

Journalctl reports at time of loss:
Apr 16 22:08:29 DELTA dhcpcd[175]: ens32: REPLY6 received from 2601:8:b480:ab2::100
Apr 16 22:08:29 DELTA dhcpcd[175]: ens32: deleting address 2601:5:b481:ab2::102/128
Apr 16 22:08:29 DELTA dhcpcd[175]: ens32: renew in 2147483647 seconds, rebind in 3435973836 seconds

I use MIcrosoft DHCP's server.

I've run out of ideas. ANyone have any thoguhts or recommendations?

Re: DHCPCD loses ipv6 address when lease expires

I suggest you force a renew/rebind timeout in /etc/dhcpcd.conf.

fs/super.c : "Self-destruct in 5 seconds.  Have a nice day...\n",

What version of dhcpcd are you running? I cannot replicate this and neither do I have access to a MS DHCP server hmm
