[SOLVED]FireFox Music audacious.desktop

Hi!
When I download files with Firefox and clocking on "Open folder" to see downloaded files then it opens audacious and adding the first folder with music and begin playing it. I had to remove /usr/share/applications/audacious.desktop to make file manager open the folders instead of audacious. I tested to edit MimeType= and tested to remove some mime-types but it doesn't help.

Is it a bug with Firefox? I am using FireFox and OpenBox with XFCE plugins

What mime types did you try and what did you remove? Don't put out half-assed information. Explain clearly what you did and how that did not work

Is it a bug with Firefox? I am using FireFox and OpenBox with XFCE plugins

I tested to remove all of them. I thought this inode/directory ... but not helped.. and then I left only application/ogg but still the same. Of course I made a backup the file to another folder before editing it. I edited only inside audacious.desktop.

Is where your solution should lie.  I recall having similar issues at one time and I'm certain that using the "xdg-mime" to set the configurations was the solution.

Here is it:

xdg-mime query filetype  Music
inode/directory

And I wrote before that I removed inode/directory from the audacious.desktop with no result.

Can someone test it with (install)Audacious and Firefox(Open Containing Folder) after downloading a file?

Short answer: Change the default application for inode/directory.  "xdg-mime default" is one way to do it.  It is not necessary to edit any .desktop files.

If you use Xfce open MIME type editor and change inode/directory to Thunar.
