I am using Arch on my Laptop and Manjaro on my Desktop, both with Openbox as WM and Thunar as my FM (with thunar-shares-plugin). First of all thanks for your answer.
When trying to copy via smbclient get, I receive
smb: \> get 001.jpg
getattrib: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED
smb: \> SMBecho failed (NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED). The connection is disconnected now
I can't make anything out of it, but I guess something is wrong on the server-side. How can one

thanks&greetings

Try looking for any samba logfile on the WD N750. Often there's a hint what went wrong.
