Hey,
I'm using the TOR network for browsing and DNS resolving, everything works great. However, I've got a monthly traffic quota of 80GB set by my ISP (my university). Traffic inside the university's network doesn't effect the quota. As I'm reaching the limit, I set up firefox to use my university's http proxy instead of TOR's socks proxy, as this lets all my traffic be "inside", not effecting my quota (silly, I know).
As soon as I use the http proxy, every site blocked via neg-entries in pdnsd gets accessible again, meaning ads won't block. The option "Remote DNS" under firefox's proxy settings is always unchecked. It doesn't make a difference using firefox's built in settings or the FoxyProxy add-on.
What's wrong with my setup? Did I oversee something? Any help is appreciated!
