NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

Hello! Once again my internet connection at the university doesn't work. Usually it is just the wlan, but this time I also can't connect to with ethernet. This issue popped up since the update from a few days ago. I have no idea what is wrong. I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad X230T, the Kernel Module is iwlwifi.

My home network still worked this morning.

Heres the output from journalctl:

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

I had issues with my university network today too. It also disconnected because of reason 3. This is something like the AP went offline or so.
Switching off power management on my wifi card solved the problem for me.

 iw wlp3s0 set power_save off

I put at button on it. Yes. I wish to press it, but I'm not sure what will happen if I do.  (Gune | Titan A.E.)

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

I've had problems with eduroam disconnects and power_save on even before the update. power_save off solved that for me (iwl 3945).
Btw, since the NM update, the reconnect to eduroam after standby is now much faster. Definitive improvement.

I'll test that once I'm back at the university, thanks for the tip!

Okay, I've tried it with that setting changed, and it still won't connect. But at least ethernet connection works again...

I still have that issue...started happening after a wpa_supplicant update. Have you been able to solve it?

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

I've seen lot of topics on various sites about this, but everything I've tried doesn't work. I guess it would be nice to bisect wpa_supplicant to find out when the bug appeared...

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

How many networking clients do you have in your machine at the moment?

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

Sorry for the late response; Do you have dhcpcd enabled? Do you have Openresolv installed? Also, it is weird your wlp3s0 interface just gets disassociated, as if not accepting your request at all.

Re: NetworkManager doesn't connect to eduroam since update

Update:

After a few days, eduram worked again for me. I don't know what happened...
The eduram wifi occasionally work after reboot, but for most times not and stuck at configuring interface.

Finally I switched (again after a few years) to wicd and it worked.

I have exactly the same problem (eduroam does not connect but both home WPA/WPA2 persional wifi and wired network work well). I use kdeplasma-applets-plasma-nm in KDE and when connecting to eduroam, it is stuck at "configuring interface". There is a similar log item in NetworkManager:

Sep 12 12:12:13 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: inactive -> scanning
Sep 12 12:12:14 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: scanning -> authenticating

Sep 12 12:12:14 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: associating -> disconnected
Sep 12 12:12:24 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: disconnected -> scanning
Sep 12 12:12:24 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: scanning -> authenticating
Sep 12 12:12:24 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: authenticating -> associating
Sep 12 12:12:25 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: associating -> disconnected
Sep 12 12:12:35 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <info> (wlp3s0): supplicant interface state: disconnected -> scanning
Sep 12 12:12:39 arch-cosmos NetworkManager[304]: <warn> Activation (wlp3s0/wireless): association took too long.

I have openresolv installed. Dhcpcd is running (and used because now I instead connected to wired network). Netctl is not enabled so it is not messing up NetworkManager

Hardware and driver information:

# lspci -k
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7260 (rev 73)
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
        Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi
        Kernel modules: iwlwifi

My problem occurs after an update yesterday, which includes updates of about one week. But I am not sure if it is the update itself, or the reboot after the update triggered the problem. The wpa_supplicant package, or any relevant package that I can think of, is not updated this time.
