I don't find an archlinux package for nessus v3 on nessus.org, I guess it's not gonna be an archlinux nessus v3 package unless tenable/nessus.org makes one available?
At the moment I can download one of these:
Red Hat ES 3 Nessus-3.0.1-es3.i386.rpm 5746 KB
Red Hat ES 4 Nessus-3.0.1-es4.i386.rpm 5786 KB
Fedora Core 4 Nessus-3.0.1-fc4.i386.rpm 6181 KB
FreeBSD 5 Nessus-3.0.1-fbsd5.tbz 3803 KB
SuSE 10 Nessus-3.0.1-suse10.0.i586.rpm 4585 KB
SuSE 9.3 Nessus-3.0.1-suse9.3.i586.rpm 4638 KB
FreeBSD 6 Nessus-3.0.1-fbsd6.tbz 3808 KB
Debian 3.1 Nessus-3.0.1-debian3_i386.deb 4808 KB
Is it possible to install one of these? Is it possible to install rpms in Arch? I really like to use nessus 3 instead of 2.2.6...

This is the open source fork of nessus. Perhaps arch could move to inclusion of this once the initial release is made.
In the mean time, you might be able to use an rpm..just extract it and try running the binaries.

Is rpmunpack the tool to use then?
Offline
Yes, you could use rpmunpack.
Personnally, I use rpmextract instead:
# pacman -S rpmextract
$ rpmextract.sh file.rpm
