"I cannot connect" is not a meaningful error message: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=57855

Yes, you're right, but I don't know how I can give you more informations, because I always use only graphical app to connect to the vpn and I don't know bash vpn commands.

How did you connect when you were installing Arch?
Or are you using a derivative?

Re: Can't connect office VPN

Then presumably you have spent the elapsed time discovering where NM logs to?

Re: Can't connect office VPN

Sorry for my bumping...

I try to follow pptp archlinux wiki but when I try to create my connection via pptpsetup I obtain the following error:

pptpsetup --create pippo --server *** --username *** --password *** --encrypt
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'ppp_mppe': Operation not permitted
/usr/bin/pptpsetup: couldn't find MPPE support in kernel.

The pptp version:

m-(~)-(53 files, totale 144Mb)--> pppd --version
pppd version 2.4.7

and

m-(~)-(53 files, totale 144Mb)--> modinfo ppp_mppe
filename: /lib/modules/3.17.2-1-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/ppp/ppp_mppe.ko.gz
version: 1.0.2
alias: ppp-compress-18
license: Dual BSD/GPL
description: Point-to-Point Protocol Microsoft Point-to-Point Encryption support
author: Frank Cusack <fcusack@fcusack.com>
srcversion: 6A5CE8D947D7C37F9EBE4B7
depends: ppp_generic
intree: Y
vermagic: 3.17.2-1-ARCH SMP preempt mod_unload modversions

So the modules mismatch? Is there a way to solve? In another thread I've seen that I've to check if binutils is installed and it is, so the problem isn't the absence of binutils...
