I have installed plasma5 by following the beginger's guide:
1. install kde4 modules
2. remove kdebase-workspace
3. install plasma-next
In recent upgrade I got a tip that kdebase-workspace is required.
So I have to abort upgrade process.
How can I upgrade my archlinux?
Remove plasma-next , install kdebase-workspace, upgrade , install plasma-next?

plasma-next is not a package, it's a group: https://www.archlinux.org/groups/x86_64/plasma-next/

Of course I know it is a group. And the fact is no benefits with my question.

Something in the upgrade depends explicitly on kdebase-workspace - find out what it is.

Find out the list depends on kdebase-workspace is not hard.
And what should I do next, ignore them manually?
BTW:
Do packages in the list still work in my KDE without kdebase-workspace now ?

There is a dedicated thread to Plasma 5 in the forums already. I'd probably ask your questions there.
And whilst I do use Plasma 5, I use the minimum to get it running and use the GTK apps. So, all I can say is that if you're planning to use Plasma 5, you're better off installing the Plasma 5 Desktop first and then adding in the bits of KDE 4 that will install/you want.
Claire is fine.
Problems? I have dysgraphia, so clear and concise please.
