Numix icon theme works in Gnome but not on openbox[SOLVED]

On thunar in Gnome, numix themes work, but when I try to do them in Openbox, it reverts to the Gnome icon theme. I tried searching around, but they talk about how the theme for them just won't apply. For me, it works in Gnome, but not in openbox.

Also, when I run AwesomeWM, it goes to a grey screen and just freezes, any idea's what the issue could be?

There are no errors/logs to post.

I put my [Settings] into ~/.gtkrc-2.0/settings.ini, logged out and back in, thunar still has the same icons as before(Gnome)

And what might be in the settings file? Do you expect us to guess, or are you going to make some effort to help?

If you take a look at wiki, you'll notice that you should use text file named ~/.gtkrc-2.0 for gtk+ 2 settings. Not settings.ini

settings.ini is for GTK3, and should be placed in an appropriately-named gtk3 folder.

The simplist and easiest solution is to simply install lxappearance-obconf. This gui will allow you to set your themes, icons, etc., automatically. Despite the name of the package, it must be run with the command:

$ lxappearance
