RISC OS 3.11 on an Acorn A3010 with a ARM250 32bit an amazing PC for its time ran rings round everything.
F*'ed up really... Desktops are not _that_ dissimilar to this 1987 release... Looks a lot like my xfce4 actually.

I have no idea why I remember this.
It's the crash screen from the mighty Amiga 500 (and possibly the later models that I couldn't afford...)

Really cool stuff, thanks for sharing. Alot of this is before my time though, my first computer was our family's that ran Windows ME. I think had a pentium III? My first linux distro was Ubuntu 8.04 so thats not thats interesting either. Anyway, cool stuff, keep it coming
