[solved] Mesa and mesa-dri conflict

Hello everyone,

When I run pacman -Syu, it says that mesa and mesa-dri are in conflict and it gives me two option :
1) replace mesa-dri by extra/mesa
2) to supress mesa-dri

What should I do ?

Hello and welcome to Arch Linux,

replacing the package is correct. In general this is always the case.

Should you want to confirm that replacing the package is definitely the thing to do in this instance, you could, before upgrading, check to confirm that mesa-dri is included among the things the mesa package now provides:

pacman -Si mesa | grep Provides

Enough is more.

Thanks a lot for the help ! I'm still getting used to the updates and because of that I'm being extra cautious.
