Hi,
I'm trying to get the driver for my MFC-J4510DW installed.
Looks like https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc-j4510dw/ is not working / outdated, so I tried to use a similar package (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc-j4710dw/) and just exchange the brother-mfc-j4710dw.install with that from the first 4510-Package. I also changed the model and checksums in the PKGBUILD and building the package works perfectly fine. Unfortunately, when I try to install it, I get:
/tmp/alpm_lptxcd/.INSTALL: line 6: /opt/brother/Printers/mfcj4510dw/cupswrapper/cupswrappermfcj4510dw: No such file or directory
[32m==> Something went wrong...
Can somebody help me out with this, I'm pretty new to Arch and can't get any further at that point.

You should start by adding a comment to the PKGBUILD in the AUR so it gets the attention of other people using the package.

PKGBUILD is not acceptable by new pacman 4.2. Tell about it to maintainer.
Temporilly you can use this tool: http://support.brother.com/g/b/download … &type3=625 or re-write PKGBUILD.

I have the same printer and I was able to simply use google cloudprint. It is extremely convenient, and you can even get a cups cloudprint package to install cloudprinters as local printers.
I don't really know what I'm doing.
