Risk of Rain (steam version) no gamepad support with xboxdrv

Hello,

Risk of Rain (steam version) do not recognize my wireless 360 gamepad controller, running xboxdrv. When I turn on gamepad support in the games options menu  - no input control in the game (except in the menu which are suppose to always be mouse controlled) are working. I have tried to start the game with the controller on beforehand, and also by turning on the controller in the game.

xpad is blacklisted and xboxdrv is configured so I can use the controller as a normal user.

Other native linux gams for example: Bastion and rouge legacy works fine with my controller.

I have a similar thread about another game that do not work with my controller, see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1497973 but since it is two different games (possible different solutions) I put them in separate threads.

Try The Steam OS version of xpad fixes the blinking lights and is perfectly supported in all the games I tried it in.

I have already tried the steam version of xpad, (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=187334) but could never get it to wok and my controller kept blinking.

Have you seen this guide?
I always had issues with xboxdrv which is why I switched. I hope the guide helps.

No I have not, and I have not tried "xboxdrv --mimic-xpad-wireless" at the top of the guide, thx, I look into it. Further, I have not tried this either "xboxdrv --type xbox360 --mimic-xpad" that I found here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=166939.

Hello,

Starting xboxdrv with:

# xboxdrv --mimic-xpad-wireless --silent

Did not made any difference. To turn on xpad and try to install the steam version of xpad again is nothing I long for: since this is now the only game that I have not manage to get controller support for, so far..., (it did work for my other game XCOM: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=192941) I will try look into this further because it seems like a cool game, if anyone have suggestion please share.
