SOLVED: /mnt lists contents from /

Not sure where to post this.
Never seen anything like this before.
I have a few mount points created in /mnt. nfs mounts from other hosts.
If I cd into /mnt and list  the contents I am presented with a list of the contents of / plus my mount points.
Not only that, but the directories I created in /mnt show when listing the contents of /.

Why? How do I make it not do that?
Thanks.

Please post the output of `mount` (or better yet, `findmnt`) and your fstab file.  Has this persisted through a reboot?

Yes. It has persisted from shortly after creating the directories. (and apparently configuring fstab. Doh!)

findmnt (great command btw. new one for me.)

And here it is.
In /etc/fstab: /dev/sda2 /mnt
With no entry for /

Thanks. Such silliness. I'l show myself out. lol

I guess I'll reboot and mop that up after my handbrake finishes.

Not a Sysadmin issue, moving to NC...
