[WLAN] WLAN Card

hi
what WLAN card is better for linux ?
card based on ralink chip ? or card supported by MadWiFi ?

(i want to create Soft AP)

Madwifi is better supported in Arch at the moment, with official packages in [unstable]. The rt2xoo project, athough it's working for some, is still relatively young. There's a PKGBUILD for it in the AUR.

With all the luck I've had with madwifi, I would recommend the Atheros chip.  But I'm biased (there's also a pkgbuild for Madwifi in the AUR).

better though would be a prism54 or orinoco based chip. they have much more stable drivers.

edit: i missed you want to make a soft ap, in that case definitely find a prism54 based cards because afaik, they have a hostap driver.
