Yesterday I tried to push something to github and accidentally typed my password when I should have typed my username. I have no idea how to change it. When doing git push I have to input my kwallet password twice. It seems, once for the username and once for the password. So if I cancel the first password dialog I can input my username.
How to do it properly?

I upgraded my KDE from 4.x and after a while KRunner stopped working (the process seems to run, but the prompt doesn't show up when I press the hotkey). Also, It's impossible to log out (there is a confirmation dialog, but nothing happens after confirming) and after a while the whole desktop freezes.
I tried to log in as a new user and everything seems to be working fine, so I guess this must be a configuration issue. What dotfiles should I delete? I tried deleting everything KDE-ish in ~/.config and also the whole ~/.kde4 folder.
EDIT: solved (for me) in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=192150

Hi,
My panel (and other things) are not transparent and therefore sometimes it is harder to see the some items clearly. When I change rendering backend from OpenGL 2.0/ OpenGL3.1 to XRender transparency comes back for about 1 second and goes back to opacque. Please see the screenshots. Does any one knows solutions to this problem? I did try to solve the problem by switching from Nouveau to NVIDIA drivers.

During my handbrake encodings today I run out of space and plasma 5 freezed, I deleted some files from tty2 or 3, I rebooted and now it's stuck every time I boot in the middle of loading bar in the splash screen. What can I do to solve this? I have about 100GiB free now, I also fully updated my system right after the problem but nothing of these fixed this.

This is probably caused by some stale .lock file somewhere. Search in .config and .local for files named *.lock and remove them.

No .lock files in there : (
Edit: Fixed it by removing ~/.config/kglobalshortcutsrc.lock
I don't know why find didn't show me this file...

I decided to test Plasma 5.2, and its working almost perfect. Only when there are 2 monitor plugged in everything is going crazy.
I am using dual monitor with selected "Merge sources/connect sources"(I don't have english locales at this moment) in settings, dashboard is annoying which is messed up with desktops/activities. Breeze theme with SDDM also looks painfully with 2 monitor, sddm treats it like one big screen.
Is there some workaround for these bugs? Breeze themes look really cool ;p

I don't have this problem but I get various other issues with dual screens (mainly plasma refusing to start after unplugging the second display). Try clearning ~/.local/share/kscreen, it seems to help with most of these multiple screen problems.

Removing kscreen folder doesnt help. I have 2 monitors plugged in, monitors are far away from eachother. I am using second monitor only for some presentations. I woudl be happy If I could just turn on the second one on demend, but this isnt helpful. Loading screen is still blinking, breeze theme in sddm is still for 2x resolution even if one monitor is disabled in settings (kde and nvidia).

I experience a lot of instabilities in the last plasma 5 update. After about 5 minutes of loging in, suddendly clock freezes, Alt+F2 stops working, same applies for Alt+Tab and task manager, Conky on my desktop continues to work and the only thing I can do is to keep working on the same app I manage to launch in the first 5 minutes...

Forgot to update: There is no kwalletmanager for kf5 in any extra and not in testing.
As someone tells me, the kde 4 service needs to be enabled:
go to ~/.kde4/share/config/kwalletrc and
change the line "Enabled=false" to "Enabled=true".
Or, as I have done: Install kwalletmanager-git from the AUR for a kf5 version.

Solved my instability issues by deleting the entire ~/.config and reconfiguring the desktop environment

Hello,
Just installed the new Plasma 5 and I missed a File Manager. On KDE SC 4 I was using Krusader and sometimes Dolphin. Now I checked they both are for KDE SC 4 still (pulls qt4). Is there any good File Manager with QT5 and working well with KF5 / Plasma 5?
Offline
@adomas: Dolphin will be ported to KDE Frameworks 5. There are many apps that have yet to make the transition. In the meantime, it is KDE's plan that you will continue to use the KDE SC 4-based apps until they're ported. They are perfectly compatible with the Plasma 5 desktop.

You can try: dolphin-git from AUR (it's Dolphin ported to KF5 and it will be part of KDE Applications 15.04 or pcmanfm-qt.

@arojas - Thanks for info. So, if somebody wants to test Qt5/KF5 version of Dolphin, must try your's dolphin-qit from AUR (personally I use it and it's rather ok).

*sigh*,
If anyone is reading this and thinking of trying plasma5... I still can NOT recommend plasma5 to anyone. Every time I try to experiment with the oculus rift my coredumpctl looks like

kwin also crashes and freezes all the time but it doesn't seem to be a segfault.
Spare yourself the frustration and stay on kde sc 4.
