Hi,
I have a Thinkpad 440s with a N5321gw UMTS-Modem. I try to use a Vodafone.de simcard with the web.vodafone.de APN.
When I try to connect, I directly disconnects.
The output from usb-devices for the modem:

This is the output from ModemManager:

What I already did:
- Deactived the pin for the simcard.
- Added the modem to udev rules:
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0bdb", ATTRS{idProduct}=="193e", ENV{ID_MM_ERICSSON_MBM}="1"
- created /etc/modprobe.de/ncm.conf with
options cdc_ncm prefer_mbim=N
- tried to scan for networks:
mmcli -m 0 --3gpp-scan -v

The post http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Ericsson_ … and_Module state, it should work on linux in general.

I know this post is several months old but I have the exact same problem. Were you (or someone else) able to find a workaround?
Thanks,
Max
