Xtreme USB Joypad - Modules and Settings

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to get my Arch to make my joypad ( http://www.playxtreme.it/dett_articolo.asp?id=90 ) work.
I read the Wiki, and I'm pretty sure I'm either missing some modules or I'm missing some information, as lsusb tells me it's there but the joypad doesn't look "alive".

Any hints on how I can make it work?

Anything interesting in the logs, dmesg and systemd's journal?
What exactly have you tried doing so far?

Re: Xtreme USB Joypad - Modules and Settings

Well, I've not tried much, just loading some modules and installing all the packages I thought I might need.

Plus, nothing interesting in the logs.

If it can help, this is what lsusb returns:

Bus 001 Device 011: ID 0079:0006 DragonRise Inc. PC TWIN SHOCK Gamepad

What modules, what packages?
Did you search the internet? http://www.cubieforums.com/index.php?topic=1973.0

Yep, that's exactly what I found, but isn't that thread for Android? I'm not an expert (and that's why my question is in the Newbie's Corner), are they the same?

Anyway, apparently the modules didn't load (the ones I need seem to be usbhid and analog), only the joydev module did.

Re: Xtreme USB Joypad - Modules and Settings

Did you modprobe these modules? What was the output?

Edit: Sorry for the link. I meant to post http://forums.fedoraforum.org/archive/i … 84944.html but I must have yanked the wrong url.

Re: Xtreme USB Joypad - Modules and Settings

No output with modprobe: it's really annoying me actually, the files are all there, why shouldn't it load?

Anyway I've found that link, too, earlier, but didn't solve the problem.

Re: Xtreme USB Joypad - Modules and Settings

Ok, apparently the problem solved itself after rebooting...

Now apparently it's working, thanks for your time.
