some info about ekiga ???

Hello,

I'm a bit lost about ekiga, SIP system, I'm not sure how I can reach a windows user, My parents use windows and am tried of using skype, what can they use in order to communicate with me over ekiga ??

Has anyone tried ekiga voice & video? how are they compared to skype's one ( ok Skype linux don't have video conference, and that's why am tired because i lost 4 Gb partition to setup a useless OS just to use Skype video conference )

Thx

Re: some info about ekiga ???

There's a win32 port of ekiga available:
http://snapshots.gnomemeeting.net/win32/

As I read on their mailinglist it is working quite good. If you give it a try, please let us know your experience.

regards,
Jochen

I install Ekiga and works very good (I have router and Shorewall firewall smile ). I don't have a web camera but  I could see the other site. Voice is good too.
