Standard WindowMaker on a fresh install of a used laptop. I like WindowMaker's clean design and the way it stays out of the way. Here I'm working on notes before starting my third novel.

Re: April 2015 Screenshots Thread

Sorry for stupid question but i would like to ask for one thing - you have "buttons" with apps icon on the left, grouped as a taskbar that looks like the one from Ubuntu and unity. I earlier used apps that could do the same for gui that does not have that kind of taskbar - do you use this app? I don't remember how it is being called neutral and i would like to install it again.

There are a few such programs. I myself use docky: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/docky/. Here are a few more options: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … _.2F_docks

Re: April 2015 Screenshots Thread

It's been a productive month for me -- updated my dotfiles and such.

Pretty standard urxvt, screenfetch, vim, and ncmpcpp being shown. Top bar and side panel are still mostly just works-in-progress and are written in C.

Re: April 2015 Screenshots Thread

Here is mine! I usually use KDE but it's a small mess with the KF5 switch so I thought I'd give gnome a try. So far it's pretty good!

a0n5aF5t.png

Edit: Smaller thumbnail because the old one was over 250px wide and it got removed (I think).

Is that the girl from Aku no Hana in the wallpaper?

Re: April 2015 Screenshots Thread

I think I finished the desktop setup for now. Pretty basic but I like it.

Clean:
ZpaXNoI.png

Busy:
zyGlnNj.png

WM: bspwm
Terminal: urxvt with Tomorrow Night Eighties color scheme (slightly modified)
Panel: bar + trayer
Wallpaper: Don't remember where I found it, sorry

Only things I can't figure out are how to remove the Desktop 2 bit, how to change the font without disabling italics (the default's good but it's kinda small for fullscreen prose writing in Vim) and why w3m previews aren't working in the latest ranger update. Other than that I think I'm satisfied, though I might turn transparency on urxvt back on later (depending on how it looks after I add shadows via Compton).

I am not sure, I think it's original art. I found it randomly on wallhaven.cc.

Looks like it's based on the character "Mirai Kuriyama" from "Beyond the Boundary" (Kyoukai no Kanata)

Trying out plasma 5 for the third time, and its finally at a place where I can set it up the way I want. I will probably stick with this for awhile since I got bored with my old setup.
