Hello,
I've installed x2go on my desktop connecting to it from my laptop over ethernet. The performance is brilliant even fullscreen video runs smooth except no sound.
I'm launching an openbox session with x2go pulse audio is already running. I've tried killing pulse audio and relaunching it within the x2go session.
I've tried all the different combinations in the sound options of the x2go client killing the session between each.
I've also added load-module module-native-protocol-tcp auth-cookie=".pulse-cookie" to /etc/pulse/default.pa as recommended on their installation page. http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:faq:start
Anyone had this runnng and go sound working? I'm not bothered if it uses pulseaudio or not. Alternatively if you know of something better to use please let me know.

Still not been able to get this to work. I installed x2go server in a ubuntu 14.04 64 bit desktop virtualbox and sound is working fine. All the x2go software versions are the same but pulseaudio in 14.04 is version 4.
Should I report this as a bug to Arch or the x2go people?

Please do some more investigation. Check your local log files. Report this to the Arch Tracker if you find out it's a packaging issue on the Arch side. Maybe ask upstream via IRC or mailing list. I don't use sound at all in my local X2go setup.

Has any progress been made on this issue?
I had the exact same experience as fixles. I installed x2go server/pulseaudio on my ARM architecture Odroid U3, and run x2go client from a windows box. Everything works great, except for that there is no sound. I tried fiddling with the setup files in many ways, and still no sound. I checked the server-side log with journalctl -f while connecting and disconnecting to the server, and it didn't seem to give any pulseaudio related errors.
What's more, I installed x2go server on an old x86 ubuntu install (it already had pulseaudio), and when I connected to it from the same windows computer, the sound "just worked," without having to modify any server-side (or client-side) configurations. I also just used the default cookie (~/.config/pulse/cookie).
Any help would be much appreciated!
Below are the client/server logs when connecting to the Odroid U3.
