So I deleted my hosts file.like an idiot and I need to replace it. Is there any way to regenerate it or does anyone have a link to a default hosts file?
Any help would be appreciated!

You can find it in the "filesystem" package.
The package is already on your computer in the pacman cache, and Arch Linux packages are simply compressed ".tar.xz" files.

You need to add the host name to that:

Delays in starting up certain packages (eg, Firefox) have been reported otherwise.

Yup, that did it. For some reason I didn't have that package in the pacman cache so I had to
pacman -Sw filesystem
and untar it from there. Thanks!

Find out why you don't have it in your cache. Caching packages is useful.
