Why don't you play the tiles version in X?

I find the non-X version more atmospheric and involving, especially when sneaking big_smile

Console/terminal definitely makes for better immersion. The X interface stretches the map to fill more of the screen (without showing any more of your surroundings), while throwing every bit of information in your face at once. If wandering a dangerous dungeon I'd like to see as much as possible, and until I get hungry I don't need to know how many snake carcases I'm carrying, thank you. tongue
