Hi folks,
I'm running Arch on my small home server and just connected my good ol' printer (Brother MFC 240C) to it in order to use network printing. I've set everything up according to the Wiki and since there is no appropriate driver for it, I'm using Raw mode. Shouldn't be a problem, since the driver is installed on my Windows machine which will do most of the printing.
So at the beginning I was very thrilled, because everything seemed to work out: Windows accepted the printer, jobs were assigned and finished on the Web Interface and everything got stored in page_log, however, there was no actual printing.
I don't find any error in the error_log either. Someone got an idea?

Wiki Brother MFC-440CN Should work on a 240C as well
and AUR has https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc-240c/

Actually I'd be okay with it being a raw printer. I've had that config on Debian and it worked beautifully. Not sure why it doesn't do that know...

it took me a while to get my HL-5450DN working too. I ended up getting the driver from the Brother support page and using lpr:\\
