I've upgraded to the most recent firefox (39.0-1) and adobe flash player (flashplugin 11.2.202.481-1). I've restarted firefox and everything worked well. All this I did yesterday.
Today I get the following message from flash player.
This plugin has security vulnerabilities.
Activate Adobe Flash.
There are no new updates of neither flash player or firefox itself.
I didn't find any relevant information about similar issue on the internet.
What should I do ?
Thanks for help.

Yes, Mozilla has taken the step of blocking all versions of Flash in Firefox because of some vulnerabilities. It's even in the mainstream news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-33520935

Wait for Adobe to release a new version and in the meantime use flash only if it is absolutely necessary.

In most cases, HTML5 video works. Sometimes it can be enabled with an addon like "HTML5 Video Everywhere". Then it is also possible to use youtube-dl and mpv to view the videos.
I often use the mpv option, since that gives me better performance. HTML5 video is just so slow and resource hungry.

Wouldn't chromium-pepper-flash still be the best solution for those cases where you still need flash?
You can use it with freshplayerplugin on non-google browsers.

[2014-12-02 16:54] [PACMAN] removed flashplugin (11.2.202.424-1)
I have no problems with YT, just tell it to use html5 where possible: https://www.youtube.com/html5

Facebook has finally moved to HTML5 videos too!! I finally took the plunge and totally removed flash from my system today. Adobe really need to stop flogging this dead donkey...
EDIT: actually Adobe is more the dead donkey.. they should just do one. Pushing McAffee with Adobe Reader/etc... pantsware

Thanks triple o, I hadn't heard of freshplayerplugin before this.
It's mentioned in the wiki, so next time you can start researching by visiting the great Arch Linux wiki :-)
Please remember to mark the thread as solved https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=130309
You might need to shorten the title to make it fit.
