SMB share, Dolphin, Plasma 5, KWallet & gpg-agent

I was previously on KDE4 and I didn't have this problem. I have clean Arch install w/ Plasma 5

I can't find similar complaints on the internet, so I'm starting to think that it's either my configuration, or it's a problem no one has reported

Anyway. I have a NAS, which I access over CIFS/SMB in Dolphi. KWallet is configured to handle NetworkManager passwords. The SMB share allows guests, and everything is nouser/nobody, no password is required rw

Each time I try to access the share, KWallet pops up. More specifically pinentry-qt4. Every file or directory listed will prompt this dialog if the my wallet's password isn't provided (the same applies to Konqueror, it's not just Dolphin)

If I do provide it, the listing will still take time (I've had this problem before once on an openSUSE setup. It went away on its own after leaving Dolphin with the share for a bit, maybe it indexed or cached it).

Writing to the share is slow, and for some reason gpg-agent fires up & works at full capacity (the fan fires up at full speed). And by slow I mean a lot of the time averaging 2.5MiB/s on a 100Mbps port (which in KDE4 averaged 8-9.5MiB/s). Reading isn't affected

I only have smbclient installed, no samba (I installed when setting the system up, but I removed it)

a) Why does this happen (kwallet, gpg-agent)?

b) How can I resolve it?

Try deleting all leftovers from the KDE4 configuration. I'd actually go as far as creating a new system user, logging in and trying to reproduce the problem. This is always the first thing I do.

I removed the previous OS. The only KDE4 config files are the ones installed by the current OS
