That's first thing that i did. I have access to the internet, installed terminal (konsole) and so on but still don't understand why installation of full KDE5 (plasma-meta or kf5) does not install all stuff that was in KDE4 (terminal, or konsole, for an example...).
There is no KDE5.
KF5 are libraries that apps use, not you.
Plasma-meta is just about plasma related stuff (bluedevil drkonqi kde-gtk-config kdeplasma-addons khelpcenter kinfocenter ksysguard kscreen ksshaskpass kwrited oxygen oxygen-cursors plasma-desktop plasma-nm plasma-workspace-wallpapers plasma-mediacenter plasma-pa kwayland-integration kwallet-pam kgamma5 user-manager sddm-kcm)
So you have not installed the rest... You need to install other (meta) packages for what you want.

I don't know if this is a plasma or a pulseaudio issue, but when i close my session and i log in again in plasma, pulseaudio is not autostarting anymore.
There's a systemd service file for pulseaudio. You can use
systemctl --user enable pulseaudio
to make it autostart on boot.

No problem, just that nobody has uploaded it to AUR4 yet. But keep in mind that Plasma 5 doesn't support appmenu.

Often Krunner refuses to do simple calculations! Does it happen to you, too?

Sometimes it doesn't do a calculation directly, but when I add a "=" at the beginning of the line it will always do it.

That's the problem. Often it seems stuck and refuses to show the result.

Hello,
after upgrade to 15.08.1 version I can't start gwenview with baloo service disabled. Starting gwenview from kosole shows message "Failed to open the database". Starting baloo solve this problem. Does anyone same problem or some workaround how to using gwenview without baloo enabled ?
Fixed in baloo 5.14.0-4

Is anyone having something like this with dolphin4 and yakuake? It doesn't happen always, but once it does, only restarting the PC seems to help. Tried restarting kwin/plasmashell but that doesn't help.
All I see when starting dolphin4 from console is
Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9
Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
Resource id: 0x0

That looks interesting... but is somewhat reminiscent of the java memleak related problems reported for openjdk7 so if you are using it you should consider switching to openjdk8 (unless you already knew about these of course)
Offline
Uh, I did know about it, but I somehow forgot about it. I had to use openjdk7 (and python2) because I was compiling android and it kind of requires that (stuff breaks otherwise). I guess I didn't switch back. And now that I think about it, I was using jdownloader both times that happened. Will monitor the situation for a while, thanks for reminding me about it.

I reported a few KF5/Plasma bugs the last week or so:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353281 (This is broken in kickoff but works in kicker).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353193 (Baloo shouldn't blindly index all folders in my home directory).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353003 (a Solid crash).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352975 (dolphin bug).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353354 (If I mount a usb disk, kickoff "Computer" panel doesn't show it as mounted till I restart plasmashell).
And a few others a well.
Someone else reported this bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353311 in kcalc.

on my laptop, at startup, plasma will be crashed (can not click on the panel) if a ntfs partition isn't mounted before.
anyone else like me?

If you try to mount it from dolphin, does dolphin crash? If so, then it may be the same Solid related crash I have.

No, dolphin can mount it normally.

Anyone having trouble making new gestures (System Settings>Shortcuts>Custom Shortcuts)? Whenever I create one for a program and try to have plasma detect it (Conditions>New Active Window>New>Autodetect), the cross-hairs remain in place and the other mouse buttons disable. I mean, clicking the program I wish to create mouse gestures for with the crosshair, say an open session of konsole, does nothing. The crosshair remains and none of the mouse buttons work. Now, I have to use the keyboard to navigate around KDE. If I want mouse button functionality back, I have to ZAP X. This is a showstopper bug in my books, as I use custom mouse gestures in quite a few programs. I am pretty pleased with LXQt + easygestures for now.

Also sometimes the Breeze desktop theme has no transparency at all.

@toxygen that's an old qt4 bug, try setting your theme again in systemsettings or remove ~/.config/Trolltech.conf

Does anyone else have problems with screen slowly "freezing" to the point that the system becomes completely unresponsive and only way to fix it is hard reset?
I had, at first I thought it was drivers fault, but it might be lock screen option in KDE. Since I disabled it I haven't got a freeze yet. Hopefully this was the real problem.
Just that I don't know what caused it, and if it's actually fixable and not just working around it.
I'm pretty sure that freezes started after the update of signon and libaccounts-qt.

@Primoz: I experienced similar issues but also during normal activity. i.e. in situations when the lock screen is not triggered. Do you noticed any correlation between the actual starting of the lock screen and the screen freeze?
Offline
Yes I also experienced it during normal activity. I think I solved that with removing vhba-module and CDemu and kio slave for it, because it was dependent on linux and using catalyst forced me into using linux-lts.
Since then I only experienced one freeze after long period of inactivity, during which the scree should have locked, but haven't.
I disabled screen lock, and since then I haven't experienced a freeze yet.
Also a new update for KDE just became available, so maybe if you'll update, you'll also fix the problem.
