[Solved]Start DE after installing plasma5 with display manager

Hello, I was using awesome window manager and I decided to try kde5 on my system. I installed plasma-meta and after that cannot start X or start DE with display manager. Is it somehow related with installing kde5 or is it just a coincidence?

Which part of it? I am using a different computer to post here so I cannot copy paste here. Also, I am not familiar with log files and where to look to find errors.

There is a line

Failed to activate core devices

Just found those two threads, 1 and 2. Are they related? How can I check if / is full?

Re: [Solved]Start DE after installing plasma5 with display manager

Okay, I searched the forum a bit, so it must be a full partition problem. This link showed to me how to check it.

df -H

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb2 4G 29M 3.8G 1% /
dev 1.8G 0 1.8G 0% /dev
run 1.9G 8.4M 1.8G 1% /run
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda1 20G 5G 14GT 27% /var
/dev/sda6 888G 828G 16G 99% /data
/dev/sda5 20G 19G 278M 99% /home
/dev/sda4 9.8G 221M 9G 3% /tmp
tmpfs 362M 0 362M 0% /run/user/1000

I have erased some things in /home so now I have 78% use but no success.

(EE) XKB: Couldn't open rules file usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/evdev

check that this file is correctly installed on your system and you have read permissions

edit: Fix your xorg.conf

XkbDir "usr/share/X11/xkb"

Re: [Solved]Start DE after installing plasma5 with display manager

Actually, there is a change. When I type startx KDE started, but It load very slowly and I have graphics card problems. Although, display manager cannot start.

Finally, KDE starts with display manager. So, I will mark it as solved. Thanks
