Wiresharking Virtualbox

Hi guys,

I am trying to wireshark a distro running in Virtualbox. IIUC the best approach to do this, is to use bridged networking and filter on mac address.

However I've tried several times and I have been able to get this working with Virtualbox 5.

Am I missing a trick?

why don't you use OVS (openvswitch)?
OVS includes SPAN features and it is very easy to capture the traffic + it is a very powerfull virtual switch

OVS looks complex to setup. I'll take this up with upstream.
