Creating symbolic links to fix vmware?

so i've been having troubles patching and actually installing vmware, the error have mostly been todo with 'unable to start services' and after trying everything and looking everywhere i found an answer, on a centos forums and the command doesn't work with arch because arch uses system d, etc. anyways basically vmware patcher and vmware installed are looking for services in the wrong places, what would i symbolically link and how would i do that so that it actually starts looking for them in the right place?

**edits**

while patching vmware with -v i get this

==> Installing modules..
sh: /home/hashfastr/vmware: Is a directory
Unable to stop services

and when i try to run vmware i get this

Unable to stop services.

See log file /tmp/vmware-root/vmware-16726.log for details.

i found the same error on a centos forum and i think the basic concept may apply here, its looking for services it needs in the wrong places

I have also read and followed the wiki step by step numerous times

Re: Creating symbolic links to fix vmware?

If you found an answer on the Centos boards, you can be pretty sure it is not going to be of any help to you here...

Have you followed this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vmware
