I've recently done a fresh arch install with the Gnome DE..
But most of the apps don't run...
when executing the gnome-terminal command i get the following output :
error constructing proxy for org.gnome.terminal...
sorry cannot paste the full output as using xterm...
upon googling a bit I found that it may be a locale issue.. but I checked that everything is fine as it shoud be
as , locale -a gives :
C
en_US.utf8
POSIX
localectl gives :
system locale : en_US.UTF-8
vc keymap : us
x11 layout : us
so I think this may not be a locale issue..
is there a bug with the current version of gnome apps or am I doing something wrong??

Please do so with this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … in_clients

I had the same issue and I found the solution in this topic https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=202759.
Precisely, I added:
source /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/50-systemd-user.sh
to my .xinitrc
