Hi!
Did the breeze plasma theme changed for you too after kf 5.16? Is this a bug or new a feature from 5.5 too?
(Now there is a blue "box" before it was a blue "bar")

Hi!
After last update of "breeze" (5.4.3-1 -> 5.4.3-2) I had to switch from "Dark Breeze" desktop theme to standard "Breeze". Using the dark theme causes rendering problems on my icon-only task manager:
I'm not sure if the issue is related to widget or theme (or to my configuration). Can anyone confirm this problem?
Thanks!

Wow. I just updated my system and got some ugly icons. What happened to flat principles of KDE?
And why adding borders where it is not useful?
Is it possible to choose from "old icons which are consistent with flat principles and KISS theory" and "new icons which come from 90s" somewhere in my settings?

I think someone already opened a bug report for this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355563
It talks about plasma theme, not plasma icons; but the problem is the same. So you can add a comment there about plasma icons too!

@V1del, thank you. It feels much better now. I still have the colorful icons in the dashboard view (Alternatives of ALT+F1 / start-up) but the others things feel right.
@nierro, thank you for pointing it. I have added my personal opinion about these last changes. I hope this kind of things will be removed.

Personnally, I find the new theme gorgeous. Especially on Breeze Dark.

I agree with you! And finally we got transparency working again! (If you un-select the "Background contrast option").
On the other hand I also have this huge ugly system tray...

I also agree. Using Breeze dark is so nice now. Now we just need a better color scheme. Some text is very hard to read.

Same here, but for me it was the opposite. I had to switch from the standard Breeze theme to the Dark breeze theme.

So i just downloaded and installed the "Breeze classic" theme from kde-looks.org but now switching back to the new Breeze theme has no effect at all. Anyone else having that issue? How do i get rid of manually installed themes?

The same way you installed them. If you used that Get New Stuff dialog, you will have an Uninstall button.

Likewise. However, in my case, the problem occurs while using regular Breeze, so I switched to Dark Breeze for now. BTW, I'm employing regular Task Manager, not the icon-only.
I have another question, does anyone encounter similar minor cosmetic problem after opening and closing launcher?
Update: Never mind, I fixed it by changing the animation speed to instant.

The redesigned icons for restart, logout etc have much too fine detail which turns into an undistinguishable muddle. It looks especially bad if you use SDDM with the breeze theme.
Also, the blue shade indicating the active window is unsuited for blue/green icons: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/174 … asma55.png

Yes i have the same shadow ghosts on the desktop. Funny enough: not all the time...
These seem to be border shadows of menus and notifications which do not disappear after the menu/notification is gone...
But that is just a speculation...
Also with similar shadows around the notification area (though no notification present at the time!) in some instances I run into the issue that I cannot mouse click within the area of these ghost shadows...

My solution for ghosts was Display and Monitor > Compositor and sliding animation speed just one step toward Very Slow, with Smooth as Scale Method. The closer it is to Instant, ghost menus appear more and more.

The new "connecting" moving icon is gorgeous BTW.
