I have recent Plasma, Frameworks and Apps running smooth and without problem. But from scratch. I deleted all config files in my home folder and install new system with meta packages

Hi,
I use Plasma 5 with kwallet-pam. I added the necessary lines to /etc/pam.d/sddm to get the wallet to unlock successfully on login.
Now I would like the wallet to unlock when I login automatically. I tried adding the same lines to /etc/pam.d/sddm-autologin but it doesn't work.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Anyone knows why Krusader is not part of the KDE Applications 15.12? Porting status seems ready since summer.
I am using the AUR version which works OK, just asking

Yes, Krusader's situation is funny. Kde apps is full of ... well, you now what, but the apps don't include one of the main diamond during all the KDE existence at all. Magic world...
"I exist" is the best myth I know..

I have a GB keyboard and my plasma environment is set to use it - as well as having x set to use the UK keyboard too. When the sddm greeter appears the region is initially set to US, but as soon as I type the first letter of the user password for login the region at the top of the sddm greeter screen changes to GB - is there any way to make sddm always use the same (GB) layout as soon as the sddm greeter appears?

@ mcloaked
Probably you should set your keyboad layout in xorg.conf
This will make your settings system-wide, not per-user, but the hardware dictate that setting.
Thanks and I guess the note at the bottom of
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SD … ard_layout is also relevant with the included links there too.

Hi... Does anyone else has this problem?
Is seems like breeze theme is 'blended' with breeze dark theme and I don't know how to restore it...(I didn't do any configuration myself)...I deleted some .rc files but the problem remains...Any ideas?

xpad tray icon shows up as a tiny speck and is totally unresponsive in plasma5. I worked well in kde4. Do you guys have a solution for that?
I've read a thread on the dropbox forum where they proposed to install libappindicator, but there are too many aur packages with that name, so I'm a bit confused now.

I just tried it: won't help; seems it does not use indicator-application-service
so it's just another tray-application, that does't work like java-tray, kalu, pamac, ???
I think, there are some more

Okay, Kmail is seriously broken in latest version. I keep doing "akonadictl restart" 30 times a day...

Speaking of which if you disable akonadi altogether with:
$ akonadictl stop
$ akonadictl disable
You'll gain a LOT of performance. Sad because Kmail is great.
P.S: You'll also have to disable all apps using akonadi (don't start them).

I didn't know one could use Kmail without akonadi started ? Well I don't really know what akonadi does anyway. Thanks for the tip, but it seems it does not change anything. I still can't get my emails.

@Tromzy you can't, from what I hear there was a bug in pre 15.12 versions, have you tried readding your Mail account freshly? From what I've read this should help.

I (backed up and) deleted ~/.local/share/akonadi and for now Kmail seems to work fine.

So there is no workaround?
I tried to start AWN in Plasma5, but even if I delete the tray from the Plasma panel, AWN complains that there is already a tray active. How can I turn off the tray in Plasma?

plasma-update 5.5.3 broke capability to show the working pidgin-icon in the tray
Now I have the icon as own window on my desktop?!
That's funny, but not what I wanted

it seems to be not the only one, maybe xembed-sni-proxy is broken in 5.5.3
downgrade to plasma-desktop-5.5.2-1 and pasma-workspace-5.5.2-1 ssolved my problem

adjustment: downgrade of plasma-workspace is sufficient for me: dropbox and pidgin reappears.
I'm the only one with this problem?
